Legal

Acceptable use.

Effective 6 June 2026

HereVR exists to make a small set of private lives quieter and better-run. To keep that possible for every client, there are requests we will not act on. This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

What we will do

  • Coordinate household, travel, schedule, and lifestyle requests within the law.
  • Vet, brief, and supervise suppliers on your behalf.
  • Hold information in confidence and share it only on a need-to-know basis with people you have approved.
  • Tell you, plainly, when something is out of scope or out of reach.

What we will not do, on any terms

  • Anything illegal under Indian law, the law of the place the request would be carried out, or international sanctions regimes.
  • Sourcing or supply of controlled substances, prescription medication outside of a licensed clinical pathway, weapons, or restricted wildlife products.
  • Surveillance, tracking, or background-investigation of third parties without a clear lawful basis and their knowledge where required by law.
  • Bribery, facilitation payments, or any conduct that contravenes the Prevention of Corruption Act, the UK Bribery Act, the US FCPA, or equivalent laws.
  • Tax evasion, customs evasion, money laundering, or structuring transactions to avoid reporting thresholds.
  • Harassment, intimidation, defamation, or any request directed at silencing, threatening, or harming another person.
  • Conduct that violates the privacy, dignity, or safety of household staff, our staff, suppliers, or any third party.
  • Falsifying documents, impersonating you to authorities or institutions beyond a clearly authorised, lawful representative role.
  • Discrimination against any person on the basis of caste, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or origin.

Our right to refuse

We may decline any single request, or end the engagement in full, without giving reasons. Where the law requires us to report a matter (for example, an imminent risk of serious harm, or a transaction triggering anti-money-laundering obligations), we will comply with that obligation regardless of any instruction from you to the contrary.

Reporting a concern

If you believe an instruction has been issued in your name without your authorisation, or you have a concern about conduct by any member of the office or our suppliers, write to hello@herevr.in. We treat such reports as priority.

Consequences

Breach of this policy is grounds for immediate suspension or termination of the engagement under section 12 of the Terms of Service, without refund of the current month's retainer and without prejudice to any other remedy available to us.
